– Vice President of Operations
Peter Black is Vice President of Operations for PRO Consulting. Mr. Black has over 20 years of experience in both commercial and academically-based clinical research, with expertise in electronic data capture, operations oversight, statistical analysis, clinical trial design and Patient Reported Outcomes. Immediately prior to joining PRO Consulting he held senior management positions with SCIREX Corporation in the areas of clinical site operations, quality systems, and corporate strategic initiatives, including responsibility for multiple corporate metric systems. He has served as a co-developer of a number of novel pain models and anxiolytic screening methodologies which are presently used in various development programs (e.g., Bunionenctomy pain model, anxiolytic screening model). Mr. Black was a co-investigator with Dr. Paul Desjardins on studies developing the Two Stopwatch method for measuring speed of onset for pharmaceutical compounds. He has over 70 presentations at professional meetings as well as multiple publications in peer reviewed journals. Mr. Black holds a BS in Psychology, and MS in Health Sciences and has completed post-graduate course work in epidemiology and clinical psychology from the University of Rochester.
